Finstech Recruitment & Consultancy are delighted to be supporting our global insurance broking client in recruiting a Data Engineer. The role is newly created and the successful candidate will join the existing team to work on some exciting projects in the Azure cloud space, using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake and PowerBi to name a few. Previous Azure experience is not essential as the client is looking for someone to come in and develop into the role, with support from the team and funded external training courses if applicable.
The successful candidate will have a background in data warehouse development, data ingestion & integration as well as designing and implementing ETL pipelines. Some data modelling experience would be beneficial, along with some analytics & business intelligence exposure but again these are things that can be developed in the role. Aligned to the vision for the role, the candidate must be an enthusiastic learner, keen and inquisitive towards new technologies & methods.
The successful candidate will work as part of an Agile delivery team and will ideally have a background within the insurance broking industry. The role is permanent and is paying up to £60k per annum, with 26 days holiday, up to 10% pension contribution & other benefits. Whilst it is mainly a home based role, you will be expected to travel to the Ipswich/London office on occasion depending on project requirements.
